Yes, it seems Sony has upset fans yet again with one of their most recent announcements. Earlier this week it was reported that some new titles were coming to the PSN, most notably the SNES and PSone RPG favorite Chrono Trigger. Sony made this announcement via their @Playstation twitter account stating, “Yesterday, we incorrectly reported Final Fantasy VI & Chrono Trigger were coming to PSN on Tuesday. They are not. We apologize for the error”
But Sony, we just want what you promised us!
A very short and bittersweet message to many fans who were hoping to get their hands on these titles for some great nostalgic gameplay. Replies to the tweet ranged from, “gg guys you’re really rebounding from that time you lost everyone’s info” and “did somebody hack your twitter account to announce it?”.
Your such a tease..
Truth be told sometimes these things do happen. Unfortunately, Sony has been on thin ice with some consumers since the dreaded PSN hack issue earlier this year. It’s doubtful that this announcement will have any real effect in terms of the companies credibility to their fans, nevertheless – it seems we will just have to wait for these titles and see if any further word is released from either Square Enix or Sony.
